Web Development - 10 Years Later

I recently read through an article from Brad Frost outlining his experiences working on the web over the last ten years. Brad was able to form into words something that I've been feeling for quite a while, but have struggled to put into words myself. While the circumstances and situations of our careers have been vastly different, it is still interesting to see a common understanding of what made web development so exciting 10 years ago.
